I actually like this one more than the "spaceballs" version, too. The lens flare is a neat effect here, it adds some subtle color to the piece outside of the planets. And the nebulae in the background - I don't see those often in space pieces but they add some great texture to the background! Overall great work (again)

Wow another awesome art you made!
Even though I'm not as good as you are I do have one tip for the starfield.
You shouldn't make as many stars in the background because it looks too dusty.
Still, your planets are amazing and I wish I knew how you made those awesome nova/nebula things!
*faved it*

Call me crazy, but I like the "dusty" look. That, with all the "nova/nebula things" (shoot, I don't know what to call them either ^^;) makes space look so much less empty. I imagine that you were actually in space, you'd see as many stars.

The dusty look does make it less empty, but it just... looks dusty XD
lol I sound stubborn.
It's still great, but I was just saying I think there's a bit too much.
Different artists have different ways of adding dust/novas/gas, etc to their background to make it look less empty so yeah :XD:

Очень здорово ) всегда любопытно было б видеть степы на такие космические работы... именно такой стиль не могу понять - какие фильтры, в каком порядке. У вас нет степов случайно?

Есть, но в данном случае они ничего не дадут, т.к. работа прошла 3 совершенно разные стадии :) По сути, прежде, чем прийти к этой я сделал, а потом отбросил 2 других :)

чтож, будем надеяться, в другой раз 8) Хотя понимаю - творческий процесс часто спонтанный :)

The spaceballs one is more original, but this one is very nice as well, and I see your'e using it to enter the contest too, clever productivity stunt there ;p

I like those circular rainbow artifacts radiating from the glare of the sun :sun:

Funny, but they do all sort of things to get rid of those artifacts in photography, yet they tend to use them all over in movies :)

Good point actually  I think they give a more cinematic feel, but sometimes photographers may want something more artistic and subtle. Any lens flare that isn't Photoshop's default one can look cool though :XD:

I have to say, I like this one more than the 'spaceballs' one. Great work, I love the lighting :)
